Couples looking for comfort and relaxation
The views were very nice, every morning we woke up to the sight of foothills and distant mountains, a sight to behold. Plus, the heated pool in the spa area was fantastic, perfect for winding down after a long day.
It wasn't exactly cheap, but the quality made it acceptable.

The restaurant was amazing for dinner, I tried hot dishes. The bathroom was marble with a separate shower and two sinks. Great location, the private parking was available...

Loved how grand old the property was and its dedicated staff with a very arrogant manner. I ate at an exceptional restaurant for dinner. The beds were exceptionally comfortable and the view over the town and the Umbrian countryside was magnificent. The location was particularly good and amazing, just a short stroll away from a circa-1400s cathedral. There were a market and boutiques around the hotel.

Excellent location, beautiful view from the windows, polite, tactful and not intrusive staff, the presence of parking and garage, reasonable prices, delicious breakfast. The fireplace in the hall, the magical feeling that time has stopped.
It's better not to change anything so as not to ruin it.

We came to Perugia for 1 night for Santana concert during Umbria Jazz festival 2011. In spite of a very busy time the personel of the hotel was very attentive and service was excellent. Breakfast was delicious with great variety, fresh juices, excellent coffee. The swimming pool with a glass bottom where you can see ancient stones was stunning. No wonder that Mother Queen of Great Britain chose this hotel. And the old town of Perugia is definitely one of the best pearls of the Italian cities. Vladislav and Irina from Latvia

Extremely accommodating staff who were helpful and welcoming. Loved the covered patio in front of the hotel where you can see the Umbrian countryside. The hotel is also situated next to a lovely park which makes for a nice evening stroll. The room was well appointed and spacious. The hotel provided a turn-down service while we were at dinner, which was a lovely touch. Would definitely recommend this hotel for anyone looking for a beautiful and comfortable stay in Perugia.

This was a truly a luxury hotel. Beautifully furnished, quality linens, beautiful bathroom, fabric upholstered walls, heavy trimmed damask curtains, turn down service at night. Perfectly quiet with view of tile roof and bell towers which rang all night but didn't disturb. A large terrace with views on 3 sides was at the end of the hall. The building is 19th Century and had the feel of a lovely Victorian Hotel. We didn't eat in the dining room but it was beautifully decorated and wouldn't be surprised if the food was good.

Very central to all the best sights of Perugia. Very convenient for the Jazz Festival in July
I thought breakfast was pretty overpriced.

Great friendly staff who gave us an upgrade to a brilliant suite as we spent over an hour trying to find the Hotel. The GPS did not work in the Medieval villages in the area and the staff must have felt our frustration by the time we got there so they provided a free upgrade and the room was beautiful! The Hotel is in the best location over looking the ancient wall and up high looking across Perugia with amazing views. Its also in the central CBD area close to restaurants and shops. Its the place to stay in Perugia...luxury that even her majesty the Queen has enjoyed we noticed!

The hotel was very nice. The rooms were clean, and very plush. The bed was very comfortable. There were lots of extras, like slippers. The staff was very friendly.
The hotel was hard to find using our gps as it took us through downtown and cars are actually not allowed to drive there. But the hotel took care of the ticket for that. They also had valet parking that was very helpful.

The hotel is well-situated on top of the hill. We were there at the time of the Umbria Jazz festival and we could walk out of the hotel door and literally into one of the main public areas where free concerts were being held - so right in the middle of the vibe. The musicians were staying at the hotel and the press centre for the jazz festival was at the hotel so it is an excellent place to stay if you are in town for the festival.
Travelling by train, I had specifically phoned the hotel to check which station I should be getting off and it turned out that I was given the incorrect information. Because I had stopped to phone we had nearly lost the train. Then we arrived at a little station with no taxis in sight. The hotel did help by then phoning for a taxi to pick us up but I think that a misunderstanding like this should not happen at a 5-star hotel.

The staff were excellent. Our room was clean and comfortable. Position of the hotel was perfect. We had a beautiful room overlooking the city. Good bathroom, except for the hairdryer, but a better hand held dryer was provided immediately. It is the best hotel in Perugia but would recommend this hotel more for business than an Italian holiday experience. I thought the 31 euro for parking a bit high, plus no breakfast included in room rate. We had breakfast at a nearby cafe which was perfect for a few euros each. Eating in Perugia is cheap and good no need to eat at the hotel.
